Weekly Virtual Mix Tape: February 20th, 2025
I'm taking the reigns back in the final week of our Weekly Virtual Mix Tape 5 Year celebration!
Friday's anniversary release will feature five songs that have made it to plenty of mixtapes that I've made over the years, but the ones on this list are some the tracks that didn't make that cut.
This mix takes me back to my post-high school days, making new friends on Livejournal and driving to Chicago multiple times a week just to see a concert, turn around, and come back home, just to do the same the next day. Musical adventures with Jason, Angie, Jon, Chance, and more were the norm.
Plenty of bands are missing from this mix, lost to memory or unavailable on streaming. This is just a sample of the soundtrack of that era.
