Howdy!
Since I abandoned you last week, I've tossed a few extra tracks on your weekly virtual mix tape. Enjoy the tunes and the other reads, podcasts, and more below.
Take care!

Reads of the Week:
“I can’t remember seeing a flag for a person before, certainly not a former president. Yes, I’ve seen hats and pins and signs, but flags? Those are usually reserved for nations or sports teams or sports teams representing nations.“
“The decision, though, was a blow to those who believe voting access is more important than rooting out fraud — and that's most Americans, the latest NPR/PBS NewsHour/Marist poll found. Fifty-six percent said making sure that everyone who wants to vote can do so is a bigger concern than making sure that no one who is ineligible votes.”
“...the country has already enacted more restrictive voting laws than in any other time in U.S. history.”
“big, sweeping change — that can only come from Congress.”
The fact is that votes from those ineligible to do so are incredibly rare and have had little to no effect on election outcomes. It’s hard to vote when you’re ineligible. Usually, you get caught. And it rarely helps your cause. So almost no one does it.
The other fact is that Congress is broken. I talk here over and over about various aspects of American life that could be improved by measures that the majority of Americans, regardless of party, support. Yet, we have a Congress that refuses to enact them.
The only way any of this changes is if we, the people, speak up, act out, and let our government reps know what we want.

I’ve heard fewer more beautiful phrases than "Radical Vulnerability”.
It's tales like this that make the Internet so wonderful.
Fascinating discussion.

WQPM playlists are a collection of ten songs I've been listening to this week, crossing genre, era, and taste. No themes here, just the tunes I've been sticking in my ears lately. The newest Weekly Quick Pick Mix is available on Spotify and Apple Music.
